Terms and Conditions
Definitions
Target Date:
The date by which the client must have completed. For the moov Christmas package, this is on or before 19 December 2025. This is the deadline for ensuring that all legal documentation and requirements are fulfilled to proceed with the exchange of contracts.
Completion:
The final stage of the conveyancing process, where the property is legally transferred to the buyer and all monies are exchanged.
Exchange:
The point in the conveyancing process where signed contracts are exchanged between the buyer and seller, making the transaction legally binding.
Exchange Ready:
Status in the conveyancing process where all necessary legal documentation and requirements are fulfilled, enabling the parties involved to exchange contracts. This typically includes completed searches, a mortgage offer (if applicable), and signed contracts. The total amount payable for services rendered. The moov Christmas fee is £590 + VAT, which will be deducted if the package if you are not exchange-ready by the Target Date
Deposit:
The initial payment made to commence the conveyancing process, used to secure services and initiate legal preparations.
Cancellation Policy:
By accepting the quotation, and paying your File Opening Fee, No Sale No Legal Fee, Lifetime File Transfer and Search Fee Guarantee and Fast-Track
Search Pack, you agree to our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013,
Regulation 36(1): By making a payment to initiate our services, you are expressly requesting us to begin work on your file(s)
immediately, and confirm that you understand and agree that your right to cancel is waived once we start work. This is why the
payment you make is non-refundable after payment and work has started, even if your transaction does not proceed. Further

Itinerary
1. Key Instruction Deadlines
- For Leasehold properties, you must instruct us before
24th October 2025.
- For Freehold properties, you must instruct us before
7th November 2025.
2. Package Overview
Our moov Christmas package is designed to ensure your property transaction is complete on or before the 19th December 2025. While we strive to meet this timeline, the package guarantees to waive the £590 + VAT The moov Christmas fee if the deadline is not met and does not guarantee that we have you completed by this date.
3. Steps After Instruction
With the moov Christmas package, the following steps will be completed within one hour of receiving your initial deposit and required details:
- Notify your estate agent and provide your conveyancer’s details.
- Send your express move pack for legal preparation.
- Order and fast-track property searches with the local authority.
Our cut-off for our one-on-set-up guarantee is 4 pm; any instructions received after this time will be set up by 10 am the next working day. (Working days are Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm)
4.. Customer Protection and Benefits
We understand that transactions can fall through. As part of our service guarantee:
- You will not incur additional File Opening Fee cost when you next find a purchase (Valid for 14 years)
- Your search pack will be free of charge on the next property if the transaction falls through. (Valid for 6 months)
- All conveyancers offer a no-sale, no-fee guarantee.
5. Guarantee Terms
While we strive to meet the 19th December 2025 deadline, we cannot guarantee that the exchange or completion of your conveyancing will occur by a specific date. The moov Christmas fee (£590 + VAT) will be deducted if the transaction is not ready by the specified deadline.
6. Charges, Expenses & VAT
We will provide you with a fixed legal fee quotation. Your legal fees can be seen at the top of the quote labelled “legal fees”
The moov Christmas Guarantee
Whilst onthemoov is committed to transforming the speed of conveyancing, it is important to note that onthemoov makes absolutely no guarantee that the Exchange or Completion of your conveyancing transaction will take place by a specified date or within a specified time limit. Our guarantee means that our moov Christmas fee (£590+VAT)will be deducted from the quote if we don't meet the timeline. The deadline for this package to complete your property transaction on or before 19/12/25; However, we can't guarantee a specific timeline will be achieved. What we can guarantee is the reduction of the moov Christmas fee (£590+VAT) if the deadline is not met.

With the moov Christmas package, we can guarantee everything below will be set up within one hour of receiving your initial deposit and required details:
1) Our dedicated onboarding team will tell your estate agent that you have instructed and supply them with your dedicated conveyancer's details.
2) Our dedicated onboarding team will send over your express move pack within one hour to allow you to become legally prepared for your purchase straight away.
3) Our dedicated onboarding team will order the searches within an hour and also Fast-Track them with the local authority.
Fast Track Search Pack
Upon your instruction of our "moov Christmas" package, we promptly order our "Fast-track Search Pack" within just one hour. We pride ourselves on our collaboration with the UK's largest search provider. This strategic partnership guarantees that we have access to an extensive network of search agents, ensuring swift and efficient gathering of essential information. Recognising the importance of time, especially for our valued clients, we pay a premium to receive the search results at the earliest possible moment, further streamlining the process.
What happens if my transaction falls through?
Providing protection and assurance to you if your transaction was to become abortive is paramount to us, given the current climate we wanted to make sure that you are protected if the worst was to happen.
1)All of our conveyancers offer a no-sale, no legal fee guarantee.
2)You will be provided with a free search pack on the next property you buy for no additional charge if your transaction was to fall through, for whatever reason.
3) If you come around to buying a property again you will not incur any future set-up costs from us, we will simply reopen the file that was created the first time to ensure we can get going with your new purchase as soon as possible.
Our three-protection scheme means you will always be covered in any event that was to cause your transaction to fall through.
The following further conditions apply to the operation of the Guarantee:
- We require the following documents to be provided to us: initial deposits (s), ID & documents/verification, completed Express Move Pack, Memorandum of Sale Where you are using a mortgage to purchase a property, we would require your Mortgage Offer to be provided to us by your lender no later than 11/12/25, failing this would not give us sufficient time to complete by the deadline and revoke your right to a wavering of the £590+VAT moov Christmas fee.
- Where we require signed documents from you, e.g. Contract, Transfer form, Mortgage Deed, we ask that you return these to us within 2 working days (if you are going to be out of the country, or away from email access and a printer, please notify us in advance since we reserve the right to cancel the Guarantee should you fail to meet these obligations);
- Once we near exchange, we will ask you to confirm that you are ready to exchange and we require that you use best endeavours to provide such authority as soon as possible; In the event that there is a chain of properties linked to your transaction, the Target Date (20/12/24) applies to us being ready to Exchange (rather than actual Exchange);If the Guarantee ceases to apply and you do proceed to completion with your property transaction, the full moov Christmas fee will apply regardless of the timeline achieved.
- Our Guarantee is such that if the Target Date cannot be achieved (subject to the conditions above) you can either:
1)Cancel the transaction and pay no more legal fees (beyond the initial deposit and incurred disbursements) provided that you have not already exchanged contracts to complete the transaction; or,
2)Continue the transaction and pay the reduced moov Christmas fee (subject to the formula set out above).
Cancellation of our moov Christmas Service.
- Cancellation – Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
You have a right to cancel your instructions. As a 14-day cancellation period applies, we are unable to start work until the cancellation period expires, unless you expressly request us to do so. By paying onthemoov LTD your file opening fee, search pack and any relevant protection payments based on your package choice, this will authorise us to start the admin work immediately on your file(s) and as such revokes the rights to a 14-day cooling-off period.
By agreeing to our terms you are hereby agreeing to revoke the right to a cooling-off period to allow us to start our service (2.1 (B)) immediately. Due to the nature of our service, the whole amount of the monies paid will be non-refundable. You are explicitly agreeing that we can start work straight away, before the end of any cancellation period. You are also acknowledging that in these circumstances you will lose any right to cancel the contract if the service (2.1(B))has been fully performed within the 14-day cancellation period. If we do start work and you then cancel your instructions during or after the cancellation period, you will not be entitled to any of the funds refunded.
- 2.1(B) Upon instruction we will carry out the following service, we will draft the relevant express move pack dependent on your transaction type
and dependent on the governing body of our partnered allocated legal representative. After which we will contact any Estate Agents/Developer/Housing Association (If any of which are applicable) and provide them with your allocated representative's details. After which we will set up the legal file internally with the law firm with which we have partnered and deal with any appropriate administration. If your transaction type is a purchase we will also pre-order/order property searches on the day on which you instruct us to prevent any added delays.

We will never issue legal advice and will always ask you to consult a qualified solicitor before making any decisions.
Charges, Expenses & VAT
Our quote sets out the anticipated fees and disbursements to cover the expected work involved in the proposed transaction. The quotation is based on a straightforward matter, but some cases can be substantially more complex or have unexpected issues. In those instances additional
conveyancing services may be required to complete your case and these will be communicated to you.
- If your solicitor conducts your SDLT and AP1 submissions for you post-completion, there is an additional fee of one hundred pounds plus value-added tax added to your purchase quotation.
- If a Lawyer Checker search is required the fee for the same is £21.60, and if your solicitor generates an electronic Property Report the fee for this is £30 all of these fees are in addition to your purchase quotation.
